Superboys of Malegaon is a film based on the life of Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker from the town of Malegaon. The town’s residents seek a much-needed escape from the daily grind through Bollywood cinema. Nasir is inspired by the people of Malegaon to make a film for the people of Malegaon. He brings together his diverse group of friends to make his vision a reality and bring a breath of fresh air to the town. The film is a moving yet uplifting look at filmmaking and friendship – and what happens when the two worlds collide.
