James Gunn had proposed CREATURE COMMANDOS before taking over DC

Follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Then when he became CEO of DC Studios, Gunn himself greenlit the project. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening credits with a laptop, typing a script. .

The DC

universe is promising and a welcome sight. The story takes care of the characters and the animation is top notch. Speaking of animation, the new “Tomorrow-verse” The animation looked very cheap and flat, no life in the animation style or the stories. AU with great stories like “Under the Red Hood”, “Justice League: Dark” and “Superman: Doomsday” set the standard for quality comic book animation.

The art style is fun and vibrant and well drawn

I collected all the animated films of that era and had no interest in the Tomorrow-verse due to the sloppy script and animation art. But “Creature Commandos” is a return to the old form of quality animation. I already care about the characters and the story is interesting. James Gunn is starting this universe off right and his upcoming projects are highly anticipated.
