A series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complicated and brilliant detective Alex Cross
Hodge is the third actor to play Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the titular character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and prompted Lionsgate to scrap the planned sequel Double Cross.
Somehow I found the show more palatable, with equally good writing and characters
I’ve read some of the Alex Cross books and found them too gruesome for my taste, despite thinking they were well-written, with good stories and characters.
But the picture is so dark
I have to turn off all the lights in my room and put the TV on bright mode (I have an LG OLED).
It’s like the people responsible for picture quality are out to lunch
The cinematography is great in one aspect, but in terms of image brightness it’s so far removed from all the other shows that it amazes me.
