What’s new in Windows 11: – Windows 11 gets a completely new design

And a completely new design is perfect for it
The Redmond giant has long been preparing to redesign the update codenamed Sun Valley (“Sun Valley”) – apparently, this is the name under which Windows 11 was. The Sun Valley project flashed on the network for a long time – Microsoft regularly provided information about the new interface style, insiders shared previously unknown information, and popular designers around them developed realistic concepts based on all this data. – Home and system elements will float above the bottom bar. Start is the calling card and face of all the latest versions of Windows.
True, these minor changes will make the system much fresher
It is not surprising that in Windows 11, developers will change it again, but not so much in terms of functionality as in terms of appearance – the Start window will be above the bottom bar. According to information from the network, Microsoft will not radically change the “insides” of the menu – the updates will only affect the design of the window itself. The control panel will also float and will have exactly the same design as the “Start”. The Action Center will be combined with the control buttons – something similar has long been used in other operating systems.
– Right angles will disappear, fillets will take their place
Almost all mentions of the new menu indicate that it will be an island – the controls will be on a separate panel, notifications on another, and specific elements (for example, the player) will be on another separate panel. Indeed, insiders and concept designers disagree on this issue – some are sure that Microsoft will not change its traditions and adhere to right angles, while others are sure that in 2021 Microsoft will follow the fashion for fillets. The latter fits better with the definition of “all-new Windows” – menus alone are not enough to make a new design truly innovative. Cutouts are expected to affect practically everything in the system, from context menus and system panels to all application windows.
– Transparent backgrounds will be blurred everywhere
True, even on this issue, the opinions of concept designers differ – some draw fillets in all possible interface elements, others combine them with right angles. The style of window display islands, the design of corners and the levitation effect of the menu are divided on the web, but almost everyone agrees on the transparency of windows. Most leaks and design renders show transparency and blurring in all windows, be it at least the Start menu or Explorer. Moreover, these effects are even present in the assembly of the canceled Windows 10X operating system, which Microsoft developed in parallel with the Sun Valley project for devices with dual screens and weak gadgets.
