Course 12: SQL Server 2019 on Linux and Azure
Description Students who have followed our previous courses know that we like to go deep into all the technologies we work on and so to meet this need, we develop courses in large series and this chain of courses helps students not only understand the technology itself but also implement it confidently in their business, prepare for and ace all interviews and also update their skills. This SQL series consists of 3 courses containing more than 30 hours of intensive training. These courses are as follows: Course 11: SQL Server 2019 on Windows Server 2019 and Failover Cluster. Course 13: SQL Server 2019 Administration Course Outline: Before checking the course outline, we would like to add a very important note: The network and infrastructure used in this course has been created in our Course 1: Defining Windows Server 2019 Network – Microsoft Series , where we have created the virtual environment for all the courses we have developed so far.
Why did we do this?
Simply because we don’t want to waste your time by creating the source VM, network adapters, router and other infrastructures again and again. We want to give you a REAL TIME industrial experience by integrating different technologies in a BIG NETWORK and this will allow students to apply their IT and technology skills in learning and problem solving. Now, let’s discuss the course outline in detail. This is the SQL Fundamentals course for beginners which includes theories and LABS.
Module 2: “Data Modeling” describes a number of data modeling techniques
This course is divided into 4 segments: Segment 1: Prepare your network to install SQL SERVER 2019 on Windows Server 2019 Starting from Section 1 to Section 4, you will learn: – The new features of SQL Server 2019 – Understand the prerequisites for installing SQL Server 2019 on an existing network that we created together in Course 1: Define the Windows Server 2019 Network – Microsoft Series – Install the 1st instance of a single SQL Server 2019, SQL Server Management Studio 18 – Perform remote access and create snapshots. Segment 2: Organize your foundations for advanced topics From Section 5 to Section 9, this segment will teach you the fundamentals of the database. As an administrator, it is necessary to understand all the terminology related to databases for better administration of the product. We will learn the basics of the following topics: Module 1: “Introduction to Databases” introduces key database concepts in the context of SQL Server 2019.
Module 6: “Database Objects” introduces commonly used database objects
Module 3: “Normalization” introduces the concept of normalization and describes normalization and denormalization techniques. Module 4: “Relationships” describes the different types of relationships and their effects on database design. Module 5: “Performance” describes the effects of database design on performance. **Expect some theory which might be a bit boring Segment 3: Let’s do some hands-on with tons and tons of LABS Section 10 is very interesting as we have prepared LABS (project) for you to practice all the concepts we learned together in segment 2.
By completing this course, you will be prepared and ready to take the upcoming Course 12: SQL Server 2019 on Linux and Azure
Segment 4: SQL Server 2019 Failover Clustering From section 11, we will perform the following LABS A- Create Domain Service Accounts B- Install 1st SQL Server 2019 Failover Cluster Instance C- Install 2nd SQL Server 2019 Failover Cluster Instance D-Test the reliability of SQL Server 2019 Failover Cluster E- Move database from single SQL Server 2019 to SQL Server 2019 Failover Cluster to achieve high availability. Who this course is for: The primary audience for this course is individuals who are moving into a database role or whose role has expanded to include database technologies.
